#Athens2015 Playlist

It is a known fact that the most important part of preparing for a trip is the construction of a trip-specific playlist.  Here are five of the songs on my #Athens2015 Playlist.

1)  Making Money by Ben Rector

And I know that life ain’t cheap
And not all good things are free
But there is no enough and no too much
and it seems so strange to me
I just think it’s funny
We’re so concerned with making money

2)  What Would You Do by Bastille

What would you do if your son was at home
Crying all alone
On the bedroom floor,
Cause he’s hungry and the only way to feed him is to
Sleep with a man for a little bit of money?
And his daddy’s gone in and out of lock down,
I ain’t got a job now,
He’s just smokin’ rock now,
So for you this is just a good time
But for me this is what I call life

3)  Awake My Soul by Mumford & Sons

In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die
And where you invest your love, you invest your life
Awake my soul
Awake my soul
Awake my soul
For you were made to meet your maker

4)  I Hurt Too by Katie Herzig

When you’re weary
And haunted
And your life is not what you wanted
When you’re trying so hard to find it
When the lies speak the loudest
When your friends are starting to leave
When you’re broken by people like me
I hurt too, I hurt too

5)  Life’s for the Living by Passenger

Till then I’ll make my bed from a disused car
With a mattress of leaves and a blanket of stars
And I’ll stitch the words into my heart with a needle and thread
Don’t you cry for the lost
Smile for the living
Get what you need and give what you’re given
You know life’s for the living so live it
Or you’re better off dead

What song would you add to my playlist?  Leave a comment and let me know!
