I just received notice that I’ve been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award! How fun.

The rules for this award are as follows:

4) Write the same amount of questions for the bloggers you have nominated.

The question I was asked was: If your house was on fire and you could only save one thing (excluding family members/pets) what would it be? Or, in a less wordy way, what is your most treasured possession?
My first instinct was to say my cat, Rory, but thankfully the question presupposes that I am not a monster willing to let a living thing die in the fire. This is kind of a difficult question, because I’m not hugely sentimental about my possessions. I certainly like having things, but I can be pretty cavalier when it comes to throwing them away or replacing them. So what is something irreplaceable? Hmmm. I’d probably grab my computer hard drive. It has all my pictures on it since 2004, and all my school papers, as well several poems and stories that I’ve written over the years. It’s basically my memory box, and I would hate to lose it in a fire. One hand for Rory, one hand for a hard drive.
