Accio Padfoot (and isn’t that just the dream?  c’mere Sirius!) posted a Q&A, and I couldn’t resist trying it out myself.  Plus I couldn’t think of anything else to write about today.  Win/win!


Do you take the shampoo or conditioner bottles from hotels?
Yes, of course.  They make for perfect travel-sized shower necessities the next time I fly somewhere!

Have you ever stolen a street sign before?
I haven’t, but I HAVE taken a picture that made it LOOK like I stole a street sign.

Do you like to use post-it notes?
Yeah, sure, but I like having a notebook handy better.

Do you cut out coupons but never use them?
No.  All my coupons are of the online variety.

Would you rather be attacked by a bear or bees?
Bees!  My God, who would choose to be attacked by a bear!?  

Do you have freckles?
Nope.

Do you always smile for pictures?
Now – yes.  When I’m feeling comfortable with my friends/environment, I tend to make faces.

What is your biggest pet peeve?
I don’t think I have one.  A lot of things annoy me, but not, like…always?

Do you ever count your steps when you walk?
Only on stairs.

Have you ever peed in the woods?
Yes, it makes me feel like a badass.  I even peed by the side of the road on Easter Sunday in Athens, because I missed the bus and walked two miles and no businesses were open.

What about pooped in the woods?
I don’t think so.  I’m very good at intentional constipation.

Do you ever dance when there is no music playing?
I guess?  But not…regularly.

Do you chew your pens and pencils?
Ew, no.

How many people have you slept with this week?
One human, one cat, but neither was sexual.

What size is your bed? 
In Greece they call it a twin-and-a-half, but I think it’s a double.

What is your song of the week?
I haven’t listened to music in a long time!!  😦 😦

Is it okay for guys to wear pink?
It is MANDATORY (if you want me to admire you/lust after you).

Do you still watch cartoons? 
Adventure Time, Avatar the Last Airbender, Disney, yes, I’m not picky about “maturity levels” so long as the story is good.

What’s your least favorite movie?
That…Green Mile movie???  Where people are electrocuted all the time and I think a mouse gets squished!?!  Oh no, I’m remembering a scene I wanted to repress and UGH I hated that movie.  Humans are awful.

Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had any? 
I’m not going to tell the Internet.

What do you drink with dinner?
Water.

What do you dip a chicken nugget in?
Ketchup or nothing.

What is your favorite food?
Eggs.  Or pizza.  Or meat of any kind.  Or potatoes.  Or chocolate.  I love food!

What movies could you watch over and over again and still love?
The Lord of the Rings series.

The last person you kissed/kissed you? 
Everyone kisses everyone all the time in Greece.

Were you ever a boy/girl scout?
For almost two years I was a Daisy and then a Brownie Girl Scout.

Would you ever strip or pose naked in a magazine?
My body issues are far too significant for anything like that.

When was the last time you wrote a letter on paper? 
Oh no!  Too long!

Can you change the oil on a car?
I can try.

Ever got a speeding ticket?
Twice, but almost ten years ago now.

Ever ran out of gas?
ALMOST on my roadtrip last October when I visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water house in Pennsylvania.  It was terrifying.

Favorite kind of sandwich? 
I love sandwiches (add that to my list of favorite foods)!  I dunno, like turkey and cheese and lettuce and tomatoes if we’re in Greece (I only like tomatoes in Greece, not the US).

Best thing to eat for breakfast?
I just eat cereal because my stomach can’t handle rich food in the morning, but breakfast for lunch or dinner?  ALL THE FOODS.

What is your usual bedtime?
Midnight.

Are you lazy?
No.  I used to think I was, but really I just meant I was introverted.  I need time alone and to destress with reading/movies, but I’m a very productive person.

When you were a kid, what did you dress up as for Halloween?
I had the dumbest costumes, because I was too shy to commit to fun ideas.  I was like, a cheerleader and cowgirl, which are so far from being me it’s ridiculous.

What is your Chinese astrological sign? 
A DRAGON.

How many languages can you speak?
One.  I can talk to you for three minutes in Greek, but then I’m going to run out of full sentences.

Do you have any magazine subscriptions? 
I think I’m still subscribed to Psychology Today.  Oh, and maybe Glamour?  I don’t know, we’ll see if my mom brings me anything when she visits in August!

Which are better, LEGOs or Lincoln logs?
LEGOs, definitely.

Are you stubborn?
Yes.  I am very reluctant to change my mind about anything, because I am always right.

Which is better Leno or Letterman?
Colbert.

Ever watch soap operas?
Jane the Virgin was pretty good.

Are you afraid of heights?
No, but I’m scared of falling, which might SOUND like the same thing but I promise it’s different.

Do you sing in the car?
ALL THE TIME and it is the thing I most miss about cars.

Do you sing in the shower?
No, because I have a roommate and I’m self-conscious.

Do you ever dance in the car?
I did when I was trying to make Anju or Ketan laugh.

Ever used a gun?
When I was a kid I used a BB-gun.

Last time you got a portrait taken by a photographer?
Hm.  Four or five years ago our family got our picture taken while we were all in the same city.

Do you think musicals are cheesy? 
NO they are beautiful!

Is Christmas stressful?
Sometimes.  You never know with family!

Ever eat a Pierogi?
…No?  Is that…a food?

Favorite type of fruit pie?
Strawberry, apple, I don’t care so long as the crust is flaky.

Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid?
A veterinarian and an author.

I believe in SOMETHING.

Yes, but nothing significant.

Nope.

T-shirt and shorts.

Hm.  Probably that…oh no, what’s his name?  He was a Christian comedian who told stories and sang parodies?  My mom had a lot of his CDs.

I could not care less.

Doritos.

When I was four, I was in a dance class.  My dance skills have remained at a 4-yo level.

Is there a profession you picture your future spouse doing?
Nope, just hopefully not a detail-oriented desk job.  I want something where he’ll have stories to bring home.

Yeah.

Ever won a spelling bee?
I got sixth place because I misspelled “buffalo.”

Have you ever cried because you were so happy?
I don’t think so.  I barely cry when I’m sad.  #emotionallyrepressed

No, I hate smells (also perfume and cologne, ugh).

One Direction!  lol lol lol (but not lol)  Also Sufjan Stevens again, because his Christmas concert was my favorite of all time.

Snickerdoodles!  Aw, that brings me back to high school.

Not even a little bit.

A band would be ideal but I would need to become significantly wealthier.

Sure, some writing/drawing contests back in the day.

No.

Neither (I will never be fully Greek).

In my winter lodge (when I get a winter lodge).

Yup.

Nate.  Aw, I liked him so much.  He was so much cooler than me, an original hipster.

Do you cry and throw a fit until you get your own way?
No, but wow, do I wish that were socially acceptable.

Nope.

Do you want kids?
80% of the time, no.  I’ve never had a strong maternal instinct.  I’d rather leave behind a legacy of broadly reached changed lives, rather than a deeper few changed lives.

What’s your favorite color?
Green!

Do you miss anyone right now?
Not this second.

Would you rather live in a fictional world or the real world?
It depends on the fictional world, but yeah, mostly a fictional world.

Who is your favorite author?
Tolkien and Lewis, but right now Maggie Stiefvater or Naomi Novik, I dunno!  I like a lot of authors.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
EVERYWHERE.
